Time Machine

Review by Robert M.
We had agreat time. We had issue with the propane fireplace but the rental manager had someone come and fix it and that was great. The little cabin is cozy and "old timey" a time machine. This place is like cabins used to be in McCall. Definately not for those preferring modern snazzy contemporary amenities but just perfect for us as we prefer rustic authentic old time stuff...the cabin is an antique and furnished with period furnishings and its old and dog eared and used and shows its age like a an old model T....but we liked that. No wifi, no network TV, just some movies on DVD. Reminded me of my youth when cabins like this were state-of-the-art. There were definately several things the owners should fix, could easily fix, but have let go unfixed and unmaintained...and isnt that typical of someone trying to make a buck these days and not caring that much? Anyway, overall it was awesome for us and we loved it despite some maintenace issues...If you love rustic old timey accomodations in an absolutely beautiful setting

Cottage in the meadow

Review by
Although quaint and had its own charm and beauty for being so out dated, there are a few things that should be changed out. The bed is absolutely horrible. We had to check out a night early because our backs couldn't handle sleeping on what felt like plywood any longer. The days were extremely hot and there is no air conditioning. My husband and I wanted to go for a mountain bike ride but couldn't because the cottage was to hot to leave our dog in. We also couldn't take an afternoon siesta after a long hike because it was to hot. The late evenings cool down if you have all the windows open which some didn't open. For all the money they make on this little cottage, they should update the bathroom floor, get a new bed, put in a window a/c unit and for gosh sakes buy some new towels. The towels provided have seen their last days. Towels should be fresh and soft. Any one visiting this unit should bring their own water. This cottage is on a well and the water has a very strange smell to it. All this being said, location is good, away from any noise. Price is ok. Should be less for what it offers. Accommodation Services was great. Very helpful and kind.

Not satisfactory

Review by
The cottage was not a good value. It was overpriced for the condition of the cottage. I expected charming and rustic, but thecottage was just old. The bathroom door didn't even come close to closing. The warped floor got in the way, The water smelled bad and so we chose to drink bottled water. It is on a dirt road. It's overgrown with grass, weeds, and bushes. The porch needs painting.... shall I go on? Needless to say, I would not stay there again.

Nice Cottage in the Meadow!

Review by Brandy L.
We had a great time at this place! Perfect little place for two. The refrigerator was a little noisy at night and we both thought they should get a new bed. Also, there are a lot of wasps/bees trying to get in a crack above bathroom window on the outside of the cabin, but they didn't get into the cabin.

quiet spot

Review by Tawna R.
We enjoyed being away from all the noise in downtown McCall. We didn't have the motel noise of upstairs people and kids in the hall. All by ourselves with everything we could need. My only recommendation for the property owners would be to cut down the bushes around the house so we could enjoy the outside more. It has gotten overgrown into the porch. Bed was comfortable and plenty of room for 2.

Cottage in the Meadow

Review by Kim G.
What a ridiculously charming little place! Perfect for a quiet couples getaway. No neighbors behind you to obstruct the view of the meadow. Quiet neighbors next door. Bring your own seasonings to cook with. Also trash bags, as there are no extras.

Cozy is right

Review by Melody L.
We are in our 70s and in McCall to attend a jazz pianist concert. We were jus looking for a cozy place to stay tht wasn't your standard run of the mill motel. We got it. This is truly a 2 person get away. It is vintage, but fret care is given to the details. The pots and pans were up to date, there were real cloth napkins and placemas, a little basket containing sewing and mending equipment, real wine glasses, a washboard and tub n case you are into that, etcx. There is a deck off the back tht overlooks the meadow. We spent most of our first morning watching birds - chickadees, western tanangers, cedar wax wings, etc. We didn't expect that we would have neighbors, but we did and they weren't that intrusive. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Very peaceful. Only comlaints are a small ant problem and a hard bed. Other than that it was a great experience!

Cute, small, and not super fancy

Review by Scott M.
We didn't want a fancy shmancy McCall cabin, and this was perfect. Wood floors, gas fireplace, perfectly small size for a couple.

but, it is not as private as we thought it would be and the neighbor burned leaves one evening and we were smoked out that night, unable to open the windows. Cute cabin though and lovely view of the meadow.

Cottage in the Meadow...

Review by
This Cottage is indeed worth your time and money. So cute, quaint and peaceful; we loved our stay here. It does not appear to be as wonderful as it actually is from the outside picture; however, it's perfect for a quiet get-away with your sweetie...

Great cottage!

Review by Amber S.
We had a small problem with a wasp nest near the front door but the property managers took care of it as soon as we notified them of the problem. The property is adorable and has a nice porch where we watched a thunderstorm move through the area. The cottage has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay including family videos and a few games.
